HERPES ZOSTER
- Primary infection → varicella
- Reactivation of latent virus → herpes zoster
- Predisposing factors:
1. longevity
2. patients with malignancy
3. radiotherapy
4. Immunosuppressive / chemotherapeutic
- More on the elderly > 40 years, male / female
CLINICAL
- Prodormal: itching / pain in dermatomes to be attacked, heat, headache, MALISE
- Eruption : papules → vesicles → bula → pustules → crusting → dekrustasi
- New lesions can occur within 1 week, healed in 2-3 weeks.
CHARACTERISTICS OF LESIONS
- Lesions forming hordes
- Among hordes normal skin
- Age lesion in 1 hordes the same but in contrast to other horde.
- Unilateral, according to dermatome / persyarafan particular, do not cross the line of the body Tengan
Most often in the body → H.Z. thoracic
On the forehead → H.Z. Opthalmikus

MANAGEMENT
- Symptomatic → analgesics, antihistamines
- Secondary infection → antibiotic
- Antivirus
- Local → powder when dry lesions
