DERMATOPHYTOSIS = TINEA, RING-WORM

Definitions:
Dermatophytosis is a dermatophyte fungal infection (Mikrosporum species, Trichophyton, and Epidermophyton) in tissues that contain keratin (stratum corneum of the skin, hair, and nails)

Transmission
• Anthropofilik
• Zoofilik
• Geofilik
   - Mikrosporum: hair, skin
   - Trichophyton: hair, skin, nails
   - Epidermophyton: skin, nails

Predisposing Dermatophytosis factors
1. Poor sanitation hygiene
2. The tropics
3. The factors that cause maceration on the folding area:
    - Overweight
    - Clothing tight
4. Patients with severe pain

7. Neurodermatitis

Clinical Symptoms

Tinea Capitis

Tinea Cruris

Tinea Unguium
• Invasion of dermatophytes in nail plate

Tinea Barbae

Management of Dermatophytosis
A. Wet compresses + antibiotics
B. Topical medications:
    1. Whitfield ointment (AAV I)
    2. Ointment 2-4 / 3-10
    3. Mix undesilenik
    4. Tolsiklat / Tolnaftat cream
    5. Siklopiroks olamine cream
    6. Haloprogen cream
    7. Imidazole cream
    8. Allilamin cream
    9. Amorolfine
C. Oral medications:
    1. Griseofulvin
    2. Ketoconazole
    3. Itraconazole
    4. Terbinafin
